One of the Tripath 's IC-amplifiers, the TA2020, was named
one of the twenty-five chips that "shook the world"
by the IEEE Spectrum magazine.

The TA2021B has incorporated specific changes to improve
performance and features over previous devices such as:
TA2020, TA2024, TA2024C, TA1101B, TK2019, TA1101B.

The TA2021B is a amplifier IC using Tripath 's proprietary
Digital Power Processing ™ ( DPP ™ ) technology.

It is an implementation of Class-D amplifiers,
but uses a sophisticated control scheme
to provide very high quality audio amplification.
While it is called a digital amplifier,
the Class-T amplifier is almost entirely analog.
The amplifiers use a digital clock internally only
to control the sampled comparator.
